Turning hidden blockers into strategic clarity

Across organisations, Global Mobility teams are hearing the same message: be more strategic. Yet year after year, the same obstacles persist - limited time, stretched teams, fragmented processes, and lukewarm senior buy-in.

The truth is, these aren’t the real problems; they’re symptoms. The true roadblocks sit deeper, embedded in expectations, invisible structures, and ingrained behaviours that keep GM locked in delivery mode.

This half-day session is designed for senior leaders with global mobility and cross-border responsibilities who want to break that cycle. It’s not another presentation - it’s a high-impact working lab that helps you identify what’s genuinely blocking strategic contribution and, critically, what you can do next.

Register your interest today

This is a highly curated session designed for a small group. Places are deliberately limited - including a maximum of two participants per organisation - to ensure a high-quality, interactive experience for everyone. Participation is by confirmed registration only; early interest is strongly encouraged.

Agenda

Registration & welcome

09:20-10:10

WAVE Keynote: From Operational Pressure to Strategic Impact (MasteringGM®)

A practical introduction to the WAVE Framework - Workforce, Adaptability, Value, and Engagement - and what being strategic really looks like in today’s GM role.

We’ll challenge the usual blockers of time, resources, and leadership buy-in, revealing why they’re symptoms, not root problems - and how reframing them unlocks smarter, more achievable strategic choices.

10:10:-11:10

Playmobil Pro Strategy Sprint: Roadblocks in GM

You’ll work in small groups using Playmobil Pro to model a real “roadblock moment” from your own organisation. By making invisible barriers visible, you’ll uncover the true root causes behind stalled progress and redesign a clear, future-state solution.

This is a highly hands-on, visual experience that goes far beyond traditional discussion - creating shared understanding, sharper insight, and practical breakthroughs you can take back with you.

Throughout the session, experts from Blick Rothenberg and ECA will join your group as active sparring partners, challenging assumptions and deepening the conversation.

11:10-11:40

Networking & Coffee break

11:40-12:55

The Strategic GM Roadblock Playbook & Reflection

You’ll bring together insights from the keynote and the Playmobil sprint in your own Strategic GM Roadblock Playbook (provided). With guided support, you’ll pinpoint your core roadblock, separate structural, behavioural, and stakeholder-related causes, and map the impact across the WAVE dimensions.

You’ll then translate this clarity into action—defining concrete next steps for the next 30 days and beyond. Depending on group size, you may also share a short insight or mini-pitch, gaining reflections and practical perspectives from Blick Rothenberg and ECA to further sharpen your thinking.

This session is deliberately different. There are no long presentations and no vendor agendas, just a focused, interactive working session built around your reality as a GM.
